STRUCTURAL SOLUTION

HSET is the unique, high-strength engineered thermoplastic material used to construct Drybase.

Revolutionary Material

HSET was chosen for its strength, durability, and imperviousness. The use of RIM moulded, glass-reinforced Polyurethane is a first for bathroom and building applications, having been commonly used in the automotive and aeronautics industries due to its flawless material integrity.

The use of HSET in the RIM moulding process has allowed preforming of the Drybase with a variable base thickness and a fine tapering upstand, creating a strong and resilient base without the use of any unnecessary material. Ribbing on the underside of the Drybase reduces weight without compromising stiffness, durability or structural integrity.

Surface Finish & Tiling Grooves

The reinforced grooves and surface finish of the Drybase have been developed to provide a strong bond with the tiling adhesive. The tiling grooves add strength to the unit while creating a robust fixing method by providing a small cavity for depositing the tiling adhesive into the Drybase.
